At Tarbert Comprehensive we place great importance on good attendance and punctuality. Studies have proven that a student’s attendance has a direct impact on their learning. Students who are frequently absent from school or late to school do not reach their full potential.
Good attendance also helps to build self – esteem and confidence in students. They become more involved in the school community as a result. Please support by ensuring your child attends school regularly.

Avoidable and Unavoidable Absences
We appreciate that some absences are unavoidable. However there are number of absences which are avoidable.
Unavoidable absences: Illness, bereavements, family emergencies, medical/ dental emergencies.
Avoidable absences: Shopping trips, day trips, holidays.
Remember to record all absences, late arrivals and early finishes on VSware!
